Revolar Instinct: More Than a Safety Device

By Ashley Troutman @MissAshleyTv · On May 11, 2017

The Revolar Instinct is a safety device, step tracker and can ring your phone to help you out of awkward situations. The company sent us one to test out and each feature really does work.

It’s mainly used for safety. Just download the free app, sync it to your Instinct and then add up to five contacts. You can press the device once, twice or three times to send different messages, which can be customized. Pressing it once will send a “check in” text to your contacts, letting them know that you’re home safely or have arrived at a certain destination. If you feel unsafe, press it twice to send a “yellow alert” along with your location. It’s important to note that you have to turn GPS tracking on within the app so this feature will work properly. And finally, pressing the device three times will send a “red alert” and your location to your contacts so they can notify first responders and get you some help.

If you’re in a sticky situation, you may not have time to locate your phone, unlock it, find the right contact and make a call. That’s where this device comes in. If you keep it on your keychain, help is just three clicks away.

And that’s not all. The instinct also works as a step tracker and it can make your phone ring! So say goodbye to bad dates and awkward meetings. Simply set up this feature in the app, press twice to call yourself and bam, you have an out! Although, I should mention that this did fail to work for me once. The alert went through, but my phone didn’t ring. So make sure you have service if you want this to be effective.

The device has a battery that the company says lasts for up to 5 months before it needs to be recharged. You can order your own Instinct for about $59, just click here. And it just started shipping this May, so you’re in luck! Stay safe!
