Oco HD Wi-Fi Home Security Cam Boasts Motion Detection, Two-Way Talk

By Ashley Troutman @MissAshleyTv · On September 18, 2017

The Oco HD Wi-Fi home security camera can help keep an eye on your home, pet, baby and more. The company recently sent us a sample of the camera, which can be set up in minutes.

The Oco HD cloud security camera utilizes a web portal to make live streaming and videos accessible on mobile devices. The Oco HD camera features two-way talk and even night vision. Plus, it detects motion along with sound and has a focus distance of 2.3 mm.

Users can store footage in the cloud or on a memory card, it supports MicroSD up to 128 GB. The camera itself is 3” x 2.55” x 4.21” and it weighs just .3 lbs.

To get started, all you have to do is download the app and plug the camera in for power. Then follow the simple prompts and you’ll be ready to go in no time.

The application will send you notifications if there is any motion detected so you can open the app and see what’s happening at your home while you’re away. You can get these notifications sent directly to your phone or email account. According to the company, Oco HD uses an “intelligent self-learning algorithm to avoid false notifications.” However, there is an option to adjust the sensitivity of the sensors manually so you can customize this device. It also allows you to take a photo of what’s happening and it will be saved to your camera roll.

The video quality is crisp and in color. The camera can focus pretty well in the dark and the night vision quality is clear. The two-way talk feature is incredibly helpful if you are using it to watch over an elderly parent or even a pet. It may also be a way to thwart a robbery. If you were robbing someone’s house and heard someone talking, you’d probably retreat, right?

The camera comes with a USB cable and power adapter along with a mounting base, two screws, and two drywall anchors so you can attach it to a wall if you’d like or simply place it on a flat surface. Extended plans are available if you’re interested in giving more than one person access to the security footage.

If you’d like to relocate the camera and use it on another Wi-Fi network, you’ll have to reset the settings so keep that in mind. To reset, simply hold down the RESET button on the back panel of the camera for 3 seconds until the camera beeps. The Oco HD can also communicate with other smart devices via IFTTT.

One of these cameras will only set you back about $99 and there aren’t any monthly fees. Click here to order one for yourself.
