Stream in Real Time With the LiveU Solo

By Ashley Troutman @MissAshleyTv · On September 18, 2017

Whether you’re a media outlet or another type of organization that is searching for a simple way to stream live, LiveU may have the device you’re looking for. The company recently sent us a sample of their Solo unit to test out, although they offer a variety of options.

The Solo can be connected to any camera with both SDI or HDMI options so users can stream live video. Many deter to their cell phones to stream live via a social media site or app, but the Solo’s HD quality surpasses what most mobile devices are capable of.

It connects two cellular modems with Wi-Fi and LAN and mashes them together to create one strong connection. It supports one-touch integration with Facebook Live, YouTube and other social platforms, according to the company’s website. Plus, it incorporates LRT, which is a unique transmission method that promises top-notch live streaming.

“Solo uses the same technology major television broadcasters use today – LiveU Reliable Transport (LRT) – LiveU’s proven bonding technology. This patented technology and transport protocol is optimized for video performance and delivers rock-solid video streams,” the company’s website said.

LiveU has a dedicated Solo help line and email address to answer questions about the device while you are using it.

Here are the top six reasons to use a Solo, according to the company’s website:

  • It’s a plug-and-play, end-to-end live video streaming solution
  • Keep more viewers engaged with a reliable stream
  • Send a high-quality stream from remote locations or in heavy crowds
  • Get out of the studio and broadcast in HD from anywhere
  • One-touch HD streaming to Facebook live and other platforms
  • Broadcast like a pro for an affordable price

One of these units costs about $1,499 and then $45 per month to keep the service going. Click here for more information.
