If you have trouble sleeping or have a partner with sleep habits that don’t coincide with yours, you may want to give SleepPhones a try.
This product was designed by a doctor who had a hard time falling asleep. She embedded ultra-thin speakers into a fleece headband and voila, a sleep aid was born. SleepPhones or, as the company says, pajamas for your ears, aim to help you get a good night’s rest. The product comes with a 120cm cord with a 3.5mm audio jack and a fleece band. Or you can buy the Bluetooth enabled version, which comes with a slightly different and lighter headband material.
In addition to playing your favorite music, the headband also blocks out unwanted noise. It connects to most devices, so you can listen to your own tunes or download the companion app and utilize the free music the company provides. Some of the free tracks include binaural beats, which help you get into deep sleep faster.
The sound quality may not compare to your pricey headphones, but it’s decent and I think it’s worth it for a good night’s sleep. However, everyone’s different.
Now this product can really come in handy if you have a partner that needs silence to fall asleep and you’re the opposite. And think of how great it would be on a plane or on a ski slope. Stop stabbing yourself in the ear with your regular ear buds and consider getting this headband in your life!
The speakers are adjustable so you can move them to cover your ears. They are removable as well, so you can wash the headband. Simply pull the speakers out through the Velcro opening in the back of the headband near the logo and throw the band right in your washing machine. The company also sells replacement bands if yours gets really gross.
You can buy your own set of SleepPhones for around $40. Just click here.
