Amazon Prime Day has become somewhat of a holiday in the tech space. Prime Day is officially held on July 11, when people take advantage of the stellar sales Amazon offers. The company calls it a “day of epic deals,” however; Amazon’s Alexa assistant is extending the sale and could save you some cash between now and July 17.
There are more than 100 offers that Alexa owners can scope out, including $50 off when you purchase the Bose Soundlink Bluetooth Speaker III and a $20 discount on the 2nd Gen Phillips Hue Lightstrip Plus, according to Tom’s Guide. And if you really want a steal, throw caution to the wind and get the Haribo Gummi Bear 12-pack at 35 percent off.
To take advantage of these discounts, all you have to do is look at your Alexa and ask, “What are your deals?” Now if you don’t have Prime yet, you can tell your device to sign you up for the service from now until the real Prime Day and save yourself 20 bucks. In that case, you’d only be paying $79 per year.
If you’d like to see Alexa’s Prime Day deals without talking to your device, head over to Amazon’s Alexa Deals page to check out the latest deals that you can grab with your vocal assistant and the phrases that go along with them.
There are reportedly 20 percent reductions on Chewbacca masks and $100 off discounts on the Netgear Orbi Wi-Fi system currently. But the deals will change over the next several days and weeks, so checking regularly for the item you’re hoping to buy at a reduced price is the way to go.
And as for the actual Prime Day deals, they will show up two hours early on Amazon’s voice activated devices so those shoppers can get a head start on shopping and saving cash.
